In 1988, Rick Pietrzak decided to start his own company after working 15 years in the printing, mailing industry. The company started with three employees – and today, it’s grown to over 60. Here’s what Rick had to say about Lithographic Communications, located in Munster, Indiana.
Tell us a little about your business…
Lithographic provides printing, mailing and many other related services. We offer conventional sheet-fed offset, web offset, and digital b/w & color variable data printing – which allows for highly personal customization of materials. We process customer mail lists for the lowest possible postage rates – mailing of card mailers, folded self-mailers, booklets/catalogs, including inserting of envelopes and many other fulfillment needs. We can also provide targeted mail lists based on demographics, business types and many other targeted selections.
What sets your business apart?
Our team works hard to provide quality services at competitive pricing. We are focused on providing the very best in service, meeting or exceeding our customers’ expectations – and always meeting required delivery dates. Our customers know they can trust us to get their job done right, on time and at a competitive price.
Small businesses present challenges. What are some challenges you have faced?
In our industry, it’s important to keep up with technology. This is always challenging – and it’s also expensive. This is a particularly capital-intensive business – with equipment and technology always evolving for improved quality and efficiency.
Why did you decide to do business with Horizon Bank?
We decided to do business with Horizon Bank largely because of our working relationship with Rob Gardiner. Rob was our representative at a previous bank we had been doing business with for over 20 years. He always proved himself to be very knowledgeable and dedicated to providing us with exceptional service. So when he moved to Horizon, we decided to move with him.
